I believe Education is an investment in yourself, and to be honest, an investment in serving my clients better as well! 2018 arrived and with that, my very first pet photographer retreat!!
The trainers? Two amazing women; Nicole Begley, from Hair of the Dog, and Terran Bayer, from Westway Studio.
I was so nervous to meet 11 pet photographers from all over the States, as well as Canada, but as soon as I arrived at the Tiki House (we had an amazing beach house all for ourselves!!), I was at home. I have never felt so "understood", haha!! Connecting people who share the same passion was really a brilliant idea!
I got to spend a couple of days there, learning from business strategies to lighting, photoshop, marketing, social media, and we even got a surprise visit from the remarkable Skip Cohen, from Skip Cohen University with his beautiful pup, Molly.
Oh, wait! Did I mention that we got some models to photograph as well?!
The locations picked for the photoshoots were amazing and we all had a blast photographing these fantastic dogs. Here are some behind the scenes of us working really hard for a sunset and action shots!

Meet Mr. Furley!! He had the best labradoodle's smile ever and the goofiest personality!
This is Nacho! He and his human mom came to participate as well! Creating silhouettes was the best part of the day for me!
Meet Ms. Belle! This sweet boxer was a blast to photograph and so pretty!
Oh,Brody Boy!!! I cannot tell you how much I loved this dog and his facial expressions!!
Next up is Boo!! What a sweet and well behaved dog! He did all the poses we requested like a Pro-Model!!
Now meet Vinnie!! He and his human mom flown all the way from Pennsylvaina to model for us! He is a service dog, with an amazing soul.
Kiah is an Australian Cattle Dogshowed and she knows us many tricks!
And last but not least, meet Molly! A very famous dog model!! I was told that Molly is one of the most photographed dogs in the world! Isn't that amazing?!
As you can see, we had a great time learning and doing what we LOVE most. Was an amazing and unforgetable experience for me. So grateful to have met all these people!! Until next time and thank you!!!
